Since I blocked up a lot of mouse holes last weekend, I haven’t seen any more mice in my flat. They’ve all moved in to my neighbour’s. Fortunately I have purchased a new “humane” trap which is clearly of a new generation in design terms – the radical innovation here is that the mouse cannot escape from the trap after entering it.

This has resulted in a far higher catch rate (in her flat), with the score so far:

• 2 mice taken out towards Uckfield (over 5 miles).
• 2 mice taken to Bramley (over 90 miles away)

As you can see, they’ve been taken at least the recommended two miles away. I don’t think they’ll be coming back.
