Much Ado About…The Weather

Time again for outdoor Shakespeare at Lewes Castle. Yes, it’s raining. A lot. Our dress rehearsal was just cancelled. Fortunately the forecast is looking up.

Here’s The Argus‘ preview. And a quick Google shows our Don Pedro is plugging it on gay social networking site Outeverywhere.com!

As ever, I’m sound and lights. It’s a fairly modern soundtrack. If you do make it, see if you can spot the inspiration of Who finale Last of the Time Lords.

  1. Is a Last of the Time Lords inspired finale a good thing? 🙂

Glad to see the forecast is looking up. Since you hadn’t posted in a while and based on all we get to see on the news over here, I was afraid Little Storping was underwater.

  4. Personally, I say yes, it was (I thought) one of the better things about LoTTL. But I reckon about 95% of the citizens at Oupost Gallifrey would disagree!

I haven’t been quite because I’ve been flooded, because actually I sneaked out of the country for a few weeks. But I’ve been in remote outposts where there wasn’t even Broadband! There may be photos posted soon (perhaps not using Web Gallery, though, just yet).

Tonight’s we had a nice evening for our first show – the audience was small but appreciative – and we only had a few drops of rain! The show went well – despite the lack of dress – a couple of slip ups on lines had us (in the technical gazebo) flipping through our scripts, but the actors picked it up before any but the most ardent Shakeperean scholar in the audience would have noticed!
