Bourne Again

I’ve become quite a fan of the Bourne films but Universal spending out now on the exclusive rights is bad news.

I’ve never read Bourne and hadn’t realised there were so many books, but the films were unusual in each sequel improved on its predecessor. I was unimpressed on first watching Identity but Ultimatum bowled me over. It’d be hard to improve on it again.

There was a neat arc to the well planned trilogy, and the ending, with Julia Stiles just twitching a smile, has to be one of the top kick-ass film endings of all time and a terrific way to end the series. What a shame not to go out on that high.
