You are quite right about about the time commitment and the need to immerse yourself in Welsh. What I wrote about the right space for learning in the case of Welsh should include for me not just a secluded place to practice pronunciation and force myself to memorise vocab, but also Y Mochyn Du on a quiz night or one of the many other events the Welsh for Adults people offer (book clubs, revision days). As I noted in a previous comment, it does require the effort to find opportunities to immerse yourself in Welsh, especially at these early stages. They are there but they are time consuming! Hence my slow pace…
